A very small photo series, but to be honest, each additional photo placed an unbearable burden on me. I simply could not endure making more, because this burden—one that our society deliberately feeds every day, indeed every single moment—is so immense that my own blindness and muteness regarding homelessness were revealed to me so strikingly, so aggressively, that I had to stop. And yet: three photos are two too many. One should be enough.
The concept has two levels: the individual and society. In the middle, we have something indistinct—something that is not really “there,” but something that society perceives.
